Ducati has allotted a limited number of models to 300 units to carry the introduction price. After which, the company will carry the Ducati Monster 795 to Rs 6.99-lakhs price tag. This introductory price has created a lot of buzz across all the towns in India.

Ducati Monster 795 is imported into India as a CBU unit from Thailand in which our country carries a free trade agreement. The Indo-Thai FTA means that automobiles can be imported from Thailand attracting an import duty of 20% from the hefty 60% duty that otherwise has to be paid when importing automobiles into the country as completely built unit. The good thing about this agreement is if the motorcycle is directly imported will carry a 30% import duty if the engines and transmission isn’t assembled in India.
Ducati Monster 795 carries the chassis of the older Monster 696 which also offered with the cheaper double sided swing arm. The Monster 795 is built a shorter ride height and raised handlebar which enables the rider to ride long distance more comfortably with a more relaxed riding position.
Ducati Monster 795 is offered with an L-Twin air-cooled engine that generates 87BHP of peak power and 78Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle is geared with 6-speed transmission which is assembled at its Bologna plant in Italy. The company is currently sourcing some parts across the whole including India to keep the motorcycles cost as low as possible which Ducati aims to reach the wider audience in emerging markets.
