As we already reported, [Tata Nano’s Low Cost Inspires TVS Motors] & [Low Cost Under Development] TVS Motors is currently planning to launch a new low cost bike around Rs 30000. The new bike from TVS Motors will create a mass sales that will be offered with good technology, fuel efficient and all of below Rs 30000.
TVS Motors 100cc motorcycles under plans and the company wanted to place it between the moped segment and the motorcycle segment.
TVS Motors is currently offering their cheapest model at Rs 36000 and their moped are tagged at Rs 25000; they wanted to bring something in the middle to bridge the gap.
TVS Motors President-Marketing, HS Goindi, said “There is room for introducing one more product at the lower end of the motorcycle segment. Our cheapest motorcycle comes for Rs 36,000 while the most expensive moped is tagged Rs 25,000. There might be a new product positioned in this range. The Indian market is demanding, the quality of motorcycles on offer here is very high in terms of finish, engine performance, styling and fuel efficiency. The challenge would be to offer good features at competitive price points.”
We expect the low cost motorcycles will be out during next year.
