Mini Xylo Launch During Diwali

Mahindra launched the new Xylo in India and now the company has plans to launch the Mini Xylo during the second-half of 2012 before the festive season during November 2012. The Mini Xylo is one of most awaited model and doing test rounds across India making sure no stone returns. This is the first time, Mahindra will be entering the compact SUV segment and making sure it delights every buyer.

The Mini Xylo is a sub-four meter compact SUV that will get excise benefits as per the Indian government rules due to its dimension and the engine capacity.

The company should be pricing the Mini Xylo in the range of Rs 4-lakhs to Rs 6-lakhs respectively to compact the Premier Rio.

The Mini Xylo will be offered with a 5-seater SUV as the boot on the Xylo is what disappears and the vehicle will be running on 14-inch wheels which is shorter than the Xylo. The Front and rear seat legroom space will be very similar to the Xylo and the area up to the C-pillar is very identical to the current Xylo. The boot space after the rear seats should be larger or similar to large hatchback.

The Mini Xylo rear there are changes to the tail-lamp design and the reverse lamps which are integrated into the bumper and spare wheel has been moved to the boot door as there might not be space to have it under the vehicle.

The Mini Xylo is expected to be geared with a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine and will be launched in 4×2 variant initially and based on the response; the company should launch the 4×4 version in the near future. The compact Xylo should return close to 18 KMPL on highways. Some of the expected features on the Mini Xylo on the safety area will be offered such as dual airbags and ABS. Comfort features may include AC, power steering, power windows and music system with USB and aux-in ports.
