Honda Siel Cars India is planning to launch a new version of the Jazz hatchback that is under the premium segment.
The new Honda Jazz will be positioned in the A2 compact segment to compete with the other rivals who has a strong base. The latest version of Jazz will come with few cosmetic changes including new blue-black interiors, a fresh ‘Rallye red’ colour, new alloy wheels, front grill, and tailgate spoiler.
It is believed that it will also include a drive-side height adjuster and a USB port for the music system which is common and an important feature present in most cars in the premium segment.
The company has tightened its lip to give confirmation or denial about the development of the updated version of Jazz.
“Details on the pricing and features of a new launch are usually announced closer to the date of launch – if any,” said the official.
When Business Line approached Honda about the lowering price of Jazz it said “Honda cannot reduce prices since a few components for the car are imported from Japan, and the appreciation of the yen versus the rupee has made the parts even more expensive”.
Honda Jazz is priced from Rs 7.11 in Delhi and sales have been dropped consistency for the last few months. What you think should Honda do?

I also one of most disappointed person waited for Jazz… Finally the game over with hefty price.. First month the sales started with 1000 and last month it ends with 200′s From 1000-500-400-300-200 then? is it 100 or below? The car is the one which is loaded with minimum features and maximum price.. I appreciate if Honda brings the features shown above with a reduced price.. Is it possible? But I think not so… even if they reduce the price Its tough time to get the market share as Suzuki,Ford and VW dominates the market Nissan is waiting to grab the shares in the segment.. And to say Honda said that it will price their 2CV at a premieum price tag.. So from my point of view there is less chance for Price reduction for Jazz.. lets hope Honda will understand and rearrange the price for all of its products..Then only then can get the market.. Otherwise its tough time for Honda to survive in India..
It’s surprise that VW had 50% localisation but priced Polo below Jazz as Jazz has 75% localisation..
Hi Arvindhan, thats a nice write-up. yes the sales of the Jazz is pretty low compared when it was launched, what we think would Honda do is adding additional features and lowering a bit on the price tag that might also not help the Honda to sell in the market. Lets see what honda actually do when it does something on the price tag. lets wait and see
